Enjoy the toe tapping beat of old time blues and jug music!
Brooklyn Jugs Reunions

Summer 2010
Dear Friends,
We have just returned from our annual writing retreat at Emma Field Farm in VA, hosted by our board member and collaborator Raasa Leela de Montebello.  The retreat gave us a chance to rejuvenate and develop ideas for our upcoming work.  We are in the beginning stages of a piece that explores those moments when otherwise upstanding folk feel compelled to do something naughty, and we're looking for personal stories.  Ever knowingly made a bad choice?  We'd love to hear all about it!
On a separate front, Emmett's first birthday has inspired us to create original productions for children.  If anyone has ideas or interest we would love to hear from you.

Brotherhood of the Brooklyn Jugs
August 14th and 15th will bring the return of "Short Stride" Clyde Everett Eubanks on the washboard to play with members of The Brotherhood of the Jug Band Blues and The Brooklyn Jugs in the hybrid band The Brotherhood of the Brooklyn Jugs.  We will be playing in the Herb Garden Weekend from 1 to 4 pm at Brooklyn Botanic Garden's newly constructed herb garden.  Come on down to hear jug music and get a fantastic tour of the herb garden with a naturalist who can answer all your questions on homegrown herbs.
The Brooklyn Jugs
If you've been missing the Brooklyn Jugs, the band will be having a reunion show at Southpaw as part of the 7th Annual Brooklyn Country Music Festival.  We will be wrapping up the festival Sunday night, Sept. 12th.
Enjoy the rest of your summer.  Can't wait to hear from you!
Adhesive Theater Project is generously supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council of the Arts, and J. P. Morgan Chase, admin- istered by the Brooklyn Arts Council, Inc. (BAC).
Adhesive Theater Project is celebrating its 2nd decade of creating experimental cross-disciplinary work through collaboration with professional artists of all mediums, particularly those with a non-theatrical background  -  from fashion designers to blues musicians, engineers to illustrators.  By challenging these artists to work in the theater we create new perspectives for live performance.  By integrating live music, visual arts, metaphor, and narrative storytelling, we create epic experiences that excite the audience's imagination.
