Cory Einbinder, Artistic Director
Since the age of seven when Cory Einbinder played the young king in King of the Gypsies (Paramount Pictures) he’s been working in theater and film.  As a child he was in Madame Butterfly at BAM and hosted Kids just Kids on NBC.

After graduating from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia he founded SITE (Site Installation Theater Ensemble).  As the Artistic Director of SITE, he directed Daniel Therriault’s Battery in an electric art installation, and Chantecler at the Philadelphia Zoo.  He co-directed In The Boom Boom Room in a Go-Go Bar, and The Pitchfork Disney in an abandoned loft where a body was found under the floorboards, and produced Danny and the Deep Blue Sea in a Pub.

Now, as the Artistic Director of Adhesive Theater Project, he has directed NOIR by Kalle Macrides – which was hailed as "ingenious" by nytheater.com, Les Mauvais Garcon by Jake Hooker – which had the honor of being included in the Best of the American Living Room Series at HERE Arts Center, Spring Awakening at Center Stage – hailed as "Nothing short of extraordinary" by nytheater.com, I, Object! – a mulitmedia production at The Brick, R.U.R.: A Futurist Folk Opera – an ensemble-created musical at Spring Theatreworks, Hysteria: HYSTERIA by Jake Hooker at The Stable, Chantecler at Theatro LA TEA – which was praised as "especially memorable... creative, interesting, witty" by the New York Times, Kirby – an ensemble written superhero deconstruction at Nada, and The Battles of Coxinga at the Piano Store.

As a performer, he has been seen in I, Object! and Hysteria: HYSTERIA, in A Meditation On The Misanthrope: 10 Years Later at the East 13th Street Theatre, Figaro Gets a Divorce at the Access Theater, The Devil’s Parole at the Samuel French Festival, House of Trash at HERE, Ten Nights in a Bar-room and Larry and the Werewolf at Nada, Painted Ladies with Italian American Rep, Rendezvous with Reality and Escape from Happiness at the Wilma Theater, Death of a Salesman at the Arden Theater, Winters Tale at Cheltenham Arts Center, and the title role of Jeffrey with Fabulous Theater Co.

He holds an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College.  Currently, Cory is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUNY College of Technology where he teaches in the Entertainment Technology Department.  He has freelanced for many NYC theater companies as a set designer, video designer, and choreographer.  His article on live video tracking for the stage, Within A Frame, was published in Live Design Magazine (Dec. 2009).  His adaptation of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's The Battles of Coxinga will be published in Performing Resistance in Dutch Formosa, by Harrassowitz Publishing House later this year.
