Jake Hooker, Resident Playwright
Jake Hooker is a Brooklyn-based writer.  His performance work has been seen at HERE, The Ontological-Hysteric Theatre, Raw Space, WAX, La Mama, and The Medicine Show, among others.  He was a co-curator of HERE's 2003 American Living Room Series and has co-curating WAX's Bridge Dance-Theatre series in residence at University Settlement.  He is the Resident Playwright with Adhesive, which produced his play Les Mauvais Garcons.  His play Pot au Noir (THE BLACK HOLE), launched an ongoing cycle - Orbitus Terrarum Fabula.  He is a Co-founder and Core Member of The International Company Project.  Jake holds a BFA in Theatre/Original Works from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle and an MA in Theatre & The World from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (Centre for Performance Research).  He is an NEA/TCG New Generations Mentorship recipient, worked for many years with Big Dance Theater, and has recently begun pursuing a PhD at CUNY.
