Big Headed Toddler - video puppet
NOTES FROM THE SERVICE ROAD'S
VIDEO AND PUPPET DESIGNER

Cory Einbinder
The Big Headed Toddler is a video puppet developed for Adhesive Theater Project's world premiere production of The Service Road by Obie Award winning playwright Erin Courtney.  The puppet is an interactive performer, with no time delay and unfettered by cables, allowing the puppeteer freedom and autonomy of movement.  The supplied infrared lighting source enables the puppeteer to mask his own face and work in complete darkness as the puppet moves and displays a full range of human expressions.
