Description:
     Calamity at Richmond.  Being a Narrative of the Affecting Circumstances Attending the Awful Conflagration of the Theatre in the City of Richmond, on the Night of Thursday, the 26th of December, 1811.  The 1811 fire in a Virginian theater was interpreted as an "act of god" and a sign of the inherent evil of theater.  In fact, theater was banned in Virginia for many years after this incident.  The play is a series of monologues from the point of view of those affected by the fire.
